Activity plan:
The program starts in the morning at 7 a.m., in the salt fields of the Paška Saltworks. In this workshop, you will learn about the history of the Saltworks, how salt was produced in the past and today, and hear about the composition, quality and importance of salt. With expert guidance, you will see the salt pools, accompanying locks and canals. You can compare different salts and feel and taste salt and salt flower. With the assistance of an experienced employee of Solana Pag, you will try your hand at gathering (picking) coarse salt in the classic traditional way. You will gain new knowledge and experience about salt, the ecological network of which Solana Pag is a part, and enjoy the beauty and unique nature. The estimated duration of the trip is 1.5 hours.
Period: April – November (if the weather is good).
Reservations can be made up to 48 hours before the start of the trip.
The cost of the tour is to be paid in advance in full. The minimum number of adult passengers is 3. In case the minimal number of passengers for the tour isn’t reported, the tour will be cancelled, and the passenger will be informed about the matter at least 24 h before the planned tour.
